DeepL is now available in the Pro version, which is compliant with data protection laws.

DeepL is one of the best-known online tools for AI-supported translations and text correction. Accordingly, it is also used frequently and intensively at TU Wien. However, the free version, DeepL Free, has some functional limitations and all texts entered are used for AI training. This can lead to significant data protection issues.

In order to continue to enable all employees to use DeepL, we have negotiated a particularly favorable offer with the manufacturer. From now on, DeepL can be used in a manner that is compliant with data protection laws, and we still have the option of easily translating and improving texts (including entire documents) automatically.

DeepL Pro is now available to all employees in the TUshop, opens an external URL in a new window.
