The new version of TUtoolbox is available

The new version 2025 of TUtoolbox is now available. It is mandatory to update older versions.

The new 2025 version of TUtoolbox , opens an external URL in a new windowis now available. This version supports access to the Microsoft Community Repository, opens an external URL in a new window using winget, where many software packages are provided directly by the manufacturer. This means that the latest versions from the manufacturer can always be obtained via TUtoolbox, especially for programs that change frequently. The following packages are available via winget in the TUtoolbox:

MS Teams
TUmatrix (Element)
TUowncloud
TUphone (Jabber)
Zoom

Since the offer within the TUtoolbox has also changed, an update to the new version is mandatory in order to continue using the TUtoolbox. The update is offered when you start TUtoolbox and only needs to be confirmed in the dialogue. If winget is not yet installed on your computer, TUtoolbox will automatically install it for you. If your computer system has an operating system that is too old, you will be informed when you start TUtoolbox that all winget-based applications are not available.

The next step, to be implemented before the end of this year, is a CIT repository hosted at TU Wien, so that all products ordered via TUsoftware can be installed with the TUtoolbox with a single click.

All CIT-maintained computers will be updated automatically.
