Maintenance work firewall update

Dear colleagues and students!

We would like to inform you that we are performing a software update on our firewall systems for Internet perimeter incl. WLAN/VPN, Campus, CIT-MGMT and FWaaS to improve the security and functionality of our network. We have taken all necessary measures to minimize interruptions in access to network services during the upgrade process and to avoid outages.

The update will be carried out in a maintenance window on Thursday, January 9, 2025, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Our team will carefully monitor the update process to ensure that the update runs smoothly and that all network functions remain stable and available during this time.

Your satisfaction is very important to us. If you have any questions or experience any issues after the update, please contact us immediately at noc@tuwien.ac.at.
