Transfer TUNET database

After 20 years, the existing TUNET database "netplane" will be replaced by the new Configuration Management Database (CMDB) "AixBOMS".

Due to technical and substantive requirements, TU.it decided to replace the existing 20-year-old TUNET database "netplane" with a new modern configuration management database (CMDB) "AixBOMS".

In an earlier announcement, we have scheduled a possible changeover date at the end of October. Unfortunately, the migration process has proven to be much more complex, as originally thought, and it has also proved necessary to revise the existing legacy. Due to these efforts we can not keep the scheduled date. Since we have to freeze the existing system for approx. 14 days for the actual change (TUNETDB requests or hostmaster tickets can not be processed during this time), we will definitely let you know in good time so that you can take advantage of this fact in your planning and conversions.

We will also provide you with detailed information about the future procedure for maintaining your entries in the TUNETDB in due course.
