Migrating upTUdate mailboxes to Exchange Server 2019

On August 25, 2021 the transition of the upTUdate service (mailbox and calendar) from Exchange Server 2013 to Exchange Server 2019 will begin.

Now that the TU.it mailboxes have already been successfully migrated, all other mailboxes are being transferred to the new servers.

Normally, the migration is hardly noticeable for the users and runs without any restrictions.

Only an Outlook client connected to the server will sometimes display a notice for a necessary restart of the client.

This happens on the one hand when a calendar has been migrated that you have included in Outlook yourself, and on the other hand when the migration of your own mailbox has been completed.

The mailboxes are NOT transferred in order of structural elements, but one database at a time.

This means that it is impossible to predict when which mailbox will be transferred.

Once the migration of your mailbox is complete, you will notice a change in the appearance of the OWA interface.

The migration is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of October.

If you encounter any problems, please report them via the ticket system as usual.

Note for Thunderbird users:

If after migration certain default folders (Trash, Sent) are no longer found, this can be corrected using the 'Subscribe' option of the correct folders (Deleted Items, Sent Items).
