Microsoft has started rolling out the new Teams app for all platforms. The new Teams app has some new features, but is also missing some familiar features. We have therefore released the new version for our tenant, but would like to point out that it is up to the end user to use the most suitable version for themselves. After installing the new Teams app, you can switch between the two versions at any time. Microsoft has also published videos explaining the new features, e.g. this video, opens an external URL in a new window.

Please note that some settings are not automatically applied by the new Teams app and have to be set again (e.g. video background, lists/tile view, ...).

If the slider in the top left corner of the classic Teams app is grayed out, this may be due to various local settings. In this case, the easiest way is to download and install the new app directly from Microsoft, opens an external URL in a new window
