TU Wien Research Data provides members of the TUwith a service that enables them to share and/or persistently publish digital objects, especially research data. The core functionalities of this service are uploading, citing and searching research data. It is primarily aimed at researchers and students of the TU, but it should also be possible to grant external persons written access to the system within the framework of cross-university cooperation.

This service is available for read access to public content. For read and/or write access to restricted content, special permissions are required, which are provided either through the portal or through "shared links" (through permissions from other users).

Users can log in to the system via the URL researchdata.tuwien.ac.at, opens an external URL in a new window and via the TU Wien single sign-on. When logging in for the first time, an account is automatically created after the
