• Basic protection for all end devices (terminals) in TUnet
• Individually customisable protection for institute computers and servers

The basic protection automatically includes all end devices (terminals) in TUnet.

An end device in TUnet usually cannot be reached from the internet. The TUnet contact person in an organisational unit can request that specific service groups (e.g. web servers) are approved for certain end devices.

The TU firewall only protects traffic between the internet and TUnet. Organisational units can operate their own subnet firewalls for protection within TUnet.
